This device might not be much used today, but was used often during the roaring twenties. Even though we now appreciate the carbonization in champagne, for a while it was considered not chic to drink carbonated wines.
Champagne was therefore often served out of coupes instead of flutes, which decreased the bubbles fast. However, for those desiring not to have any bubbles at all, this handy little pendant could be used to stir the last bubbles out of your champagne before drinking it. How convenient!
