This beautifully made yellow gold ring was found in the soil by a metal detectorist.
Its design is made from two gold bands: one forming the inner band, and one concave band, which is completely made from gold wire, a technique known as filigree.
The high craftsmanship of this ring tells us that is was once a valuable possession, that was likely lost instead of simply discarded. Therefore, I find it a beautiful idea that after spending some time in the ground, it was rediscovered and ready to be worn and appreciated again.
