This circular pendant is decorated with a border of black and white enamel with a foliage pattern that is inspired by Renaissance jewellery. It is centered by an old mine-cut diamond of circa 0.25 carats, with a slightly yellowish colour (K-L) and SI clarity. This diamond is encircled by a halo of cabochon-cut turquoise.

Material: Acid tested as 14k gold. The bale is hallmarked 'ET', which tells us it was imported into France between 1864 and 1893.
