These 14kt yellow gold and 925 silver earrings are made in an antique style, and set with antique, old mine-cut diamonds. Each diamond weighs an estimated 0.20 carats and have an estimated H/SI quality, appraised in their settings. The silver settings are open, which ensures you can wear these earrings safely when showering or swimming.
From the early 18th century to the late 19th century, the old-mine cut was one of the most common diamond cuts used in jewellery. You can recognize an old mine-cut diamond by its squarish shape and different proportions: it typically has a smaller table, larger culet, and a higher crown. They also have shorter lower half facets and a girdle that is very thin in places, and as a result of these factors, an old mine-cut diamond has a very distinctive look and a very unique character.
