This delicate pendant brooch is centered by an oval turquoise, which displays a beautiful matrix of the original host rock, set in a gold scalloped setting. The turquoise is encircled by a silver flower branch, studded with numerous rose-cut diamonds. This decoration is typical for the 'Garland Style' that was very fashionable in the late 19th Century, the period we now refer to as the Belle Epoque era.
The back of the jewel has a brooch fitting, and a jump ring with a little swivel mechanism, so it can be worn both as a brooch -tucking the ring away- or as a pendant.
