This 14k yellow gold brooch is shaped like a crescent moon and a flowering branch. The petals of the flower are set with four heart-shaped opals, and the brooch is further set with a rose-cut diamond and several seed pearls.
The crescent moon was one of the most popular designs used in the Victorian era, since it symbolized not only the cycles of nature and time but was also is seen as a symbol of the female body and femininity.
