This sterling silver set will be very handy when celebrating the New Year! It is fitted with a whistle, made by Tiffany & Co., and a champagne stirrer, which helps beat out the bubbles in your champagne.
Even though we now appreciate the carbonization in champagne, for a while it was considered not chic to drink carbonated wines. Champagne was therefore often drunk out of coupes instead of flutes, which decreased the bubbles fast. However, for those desiring not to have any bubbles at all, this handy little pendant could be used to stir the last bubbles out of your coupe of champagne before drinking it. How convenient!
The original owner has the set personalized by adding a little tag with the engraved initials 'NS/SN'.
The whistle and tag are both signed Tiffany, the champagne stirrer is not marked. This set will be delivered in a blue Tiffany box, which I believe not to be a part of the set originally.

Condition: In good vintage condition with some wear, consistent with age. There are some marks on the silver, which can be seen in the pictures.
